SUMMARY:Showcasing community based Innovative solutions for safeguarding and promoting our cultural heritage.
DESCRIPTION:Cultural heritage is central to protecting our sense of who we are. It gives us an irrefutable connection to the past – to important social values\, beliefs\, customs and traditions\, that allows us to identify ourselves with others and deepen our sense of unity\, belonging and pride. \nThe event will bring a cross section of PAD together to show how their respective initiatives are elevating our African cultural heritage and traditions worldwide. This is part of the African tales activities\, a diaspora initiative to document and make Oral African Traditions and cultures visible and easily accessible to the young generation of people of African origin\, as well as their friends. \nLocation of the side event (or website for registration\, for events held online):\nJoin Zoom meeting\nhttps://us06web.zoom.us/j/81776800841?pwd=N3VrSnR5VDBDWlhMdGU0SXVGZkZwdz09\nMeeting ID: 817 7680 0841\nAccess password: 28052023
